The device is delivered complete and ready-to-go. Since the SMARTONE has a multi-year battery life, there is no need for an external power source. Easy simplex communication requires no external antenna and SMARTONE uses "off the shelf" AA lithium batteries removing the need to purchase expensive proprietary batteries.
